George ComfortGeorge Comfort - Executive Director
As our Executive Director, George Comfort is responsible for the successful operation of NorthBay Adventure Camp. George has 20 years of experience in domestic and international sales and
marketing, including an assignment as a Business director in Europe/Middle East/Africa. George's greatest passion, however, is
the development of children and teens. He has spent over 20 years
as a relationally focused youth leader and mentor. He has taught, organized, and led teenagers in mission-oriented service projects in
a variety of settings, including a two-week service project in Zambia. He believes that education and adult encouragement and adult example are important to change lives. George has a BS from Vanderbilt University and is a few credit hours away from completing
a Masters degree in Counseling.

George and his wife, Jennifer, both grew up in and around Atlanta. Being adventurous, they have also lived in Ohio, Utah, and England. George is an avid mountain biker and runner. He also enjoys snow skiing, water skiing, and globetrotting. He hopes to add sailing to his outdoor pursuits.

Sabrina BarnhartSabrina Barnhart - Sales Manager
Sabrina brings 20 years of direct sales and network marketing experience to NorthBay and is excited about selling something that makes a difference in the young people's lives. As an Air Force dependent, Sabrina grew up on military bases around the world where she learned to be confident and comfortable with all kinds of situations and people. This has proven to be a valuable asset for Sabrina as she deals with the many different school systems, corporate groups, churches, and youth organizations who inquire about NorthBay.

In addition to her work at NorthBay, Sabrina currently runs a large e-commerce marketing firm/business that spans the United States and several foreign countries. When she is not at NorthBay, you will find her with her husband, educating and mentoring their own children, in addition to many other independent business owners, in the areas of developing confidence and leadership. Sabrina finds much joy in bringing out the best in people!

She gets a kick out of the time she spends volunteering at her local senior citizen recreation center, laughing at her kids growing up, and gathering around her kitchen island with food that she's cooked for her family and friends. Sabrina and her husband, Rich, have been married for 19 years and reside in northern Virginia with their two children, Sarah and Ricky.

neil DampierNeil Dampier - Operations Director
Neil Dampier is the Operations Director  Manager at NorthBay. In this role Neil is involved in the day-to-day operations of NorthBay.

Before joining the NorthBay team, Neil served as Manager of Undergraduate Marketing and Recruitment at the Erickson School at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. He previously served as Neighborhood Coordinator at the Oak Crest Village Renaissance Gardens and as a Senior Policy Analyst for the Erickson Retirement Communities government affairs division.

Before to joining Erickson, Neil served as the first mate on board a private motor yacht and as a game ranger at Mala Mala private game reserve in South Africa. Neil earned a BS in Social Science from Rhodes University in South Africa.

Jeremy GudgeonJeremy Gudgeon - Guest Services Support Host
Jeremy was born and raised in Boonsboro, MD. Living close to the western Maryland forests, he and his family spent many weekends camping, traveling and exploring. This desire to be in the outdoors carried over to his high school and college years. Leading the Outdoors Club at Eastern University for two years, Jeremy realized his desire to share the wonder and fun of nature. Jeremy has worked professionally at four camps on the east coast and has developed a knack for spending hours 50ft up in a tree. Jeremy graduated from Eastern University in 2003 with a degree in management and a minor in astronomy. He currently works full-time as a Project Administrator with The Vanguard Group in Malvern, PA. Jeremy enjoys photography, traveling, biking and the sights and sunsets on the Chesapeake Bay.

Brian HamsonBrian Hamson - Guest Services Supervisor
Brian grew up in the suburbs of Boston, MA and went on to pursue a degree in Marketing from Eastern University, graduating in 2003. Brian has been working at NorhBay since its opening in 2005 and brings with him 10 years of previous camping experience.

After graduating college, Brian got married and him and his wife became high school leaders with a ministry called Young Life.  However Brian felt called to switch gears within that organization and moved to Young Life’s Lake Champion to become a chef.  While working at this camp, he led and facilitated service projects in the camp’s dining hall; teaching volunteer groups tangible ways to serve their peers. Brian also had the opportunity to mentor small teams of high schoolers for one month at a time during the summers. This job helped teach Brian how to set others up for success.

When not at NorthBay, Brian enjoys playing guitar, the Wii and rooting for Boston’s sports teams.  He and his wife Erin are active in their local church and are foster parents through their county’s department of social services.  They have a 2 year old son named Bohdan and just welcomed their daughter Audrey in June.

Ben HorriganBen Horrigan - Guest Services Support Host
Ben Horrigan was born and raised in Maryland. He as always been around the Chesapeake Bay and recalls childhood memories of fishing and swimming only miles from NorthBay's shores. Ben is a graduate of Towson University with a degree in Biology. He will continue graduate work as a Physician Assistant in May 2009.

Ben began a relationship with NorthBay in 2003 before most of us had ever heard of this camps inception. He helped with a week of camping for students with special needs through Young Life's Capernaum Project in August 2003. Over the past 6 year Ben has helped NorthBay and Young Life maintain a good working relationship. In addition Ben has had the opportunity travel throughout the world volunteering in various capacitites.

Ben has a unique skill set in being able to foresee guest needs and serve them accordingly.

Tim WardTim Ward, Guest Services Support Host
Tim serves as a support host at NorthBay and has been a part of the guest services team for the last year. A native of neighboring Harford County, Tim is a graduate of The Smeal College of Business from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. He has applied this degree to his career as a Contracting Officer with the Department of the Navy.

Tim enjoys serving as a support host at NorthBay Adventure camp during part of his spare time. It gives him and his wife an opportunity to get away from their hectic schedule, and enjoy the stunning views and refreshing atmosphere that the guests provide with each visit to NorthBay. It also provides the couple a chance to give back to a familiar setting in which they first met and eventually wed (Saranac Village, NY)!

Each group that visits NorthBay is unique, and the time Tim spends at NorthBay is completely committed to making the camp available to fit your needs.

James WoosterJames Wooster - Guest Services Coordinator
James was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio.  Early in his life he developed a love for the outdoors.  He took every opportunity he had to go on weekend retreats with his church and spent his summers backpacking, or in various camps in Ohio, Illinois, and Ontario, Canada.

Before moving to North East, Maryland, James lived in Chicago.  He received a degree at Columbia College of Chicago where he studied Audio Arts and Film.  During his time in school he worked as a sound editor for student films and also at the world famous Improv Olympic as a Technical Director for a variety of live shows.  In January of 2007 James left Chicago and moved to North East, Maryland for a great opportunity to work at NorthBay. What James enjoys most about his job is the variety of people he gets to work with, and of course, the beautiful surroundings that NorthBay has to offer!

In his free time James enjoys spending time with friends and family, his dog Seamus, playing music, a good meal, making people laugh, watching football, and exploring the East Coast.  He also sings and plays the banjo in a bluegrass band.

Bryan ZbkowskiBryan Zbikowski, Guest Services Support Host
Bryan is a seasoned Guest Services Support Host, as he has been working with North Bay now for 3 years in this support position. His favorite part of working at North Bay is meeting new people and helping them feel at home as they enjoy all that the facility has to offer. As always, Bryan’s goal is to make sure that the attending groups have their needs met in a timely fashion and keep constant communication between group leaders and NorthBay’s staff.

When Bryan isn’t at NorthBay, he enjoys being outdoors. His favorite hobbies are hunting, fishing, camping and if there’s time, working on his Jeep. Most of all, Bryan likes spending time with his wife Jill and their dog Sadie.
